First impressions

Dreamer is an easy program to use. A main control windows gives you several buttons that lets you fire up the editor and the dictionary. Even while the whole program is based on using a database, it mimicks the behaviour of word-processors by using explicit save commands. This is probably what many users expect, even though now they may wonder where the save as button is...

Entering a dream

Entering a dream is a matter of launching the Dream Tracker. This gives you the editor. A bit surprising is that you can't set a title. The date format does not follow the Windows settings and gives you no choice than to use the mm/dd/yyyy format. It is possible to add notes to a dream, but you'll need to pop-up a new window for doing that. It's also possible to add key-words to facilitate search operations.

Browsing dreams can only be done by browsing the complete entries. As said, there is no title field so neither is it possible to browse on titles.

The dictionary facility

The Dream Dictionary enables you to make your own dictionary. It's rather primitive but also very easy to use.

Evaluation

Pro: Easy to use.
